The 10c diet is indicated for atherosclerosis, which mainly affects the vessels of the brain, heart and other internal organs. Also showing are:

  • myocardial infarction in the stage of scarring;
  • IHD and hypertension due to the presence of atherosclerosis.

Purpose of Table No. 10 appointment with:

  • reduction of manifestations of metabolic disorders;
  • slowing down the development of atherosclerosis;
  • improvement of blood circulation processes;
  • providing nutrition without increased stress on the activity of the cardiovascular and central nervous system, as well as the liver and kidneys;
  • promoting weight loss in overweight and obesity.

The 10c diet is characterized by calorie restriction. The amount of animal fats and easily digestible carbohydrates is reduced. Foods rich in cholesterol and vitamin D are excluded. Salt, extractives and free liquid are limited.

The composition of diet number 10c:

  • fats - 60-70 grams (including 35% - vegetable!);
  • proteins - 80-100 grams;
  • carbohydrates - 250-300 grams.

Energy value - 2000 - 2200 kcal.

Foods that are contraindicated in diet number 10c:

  • Sweet and puff bakery products.
  • Broths: meat, fish, mushroom, and also from legumes.
  • Fatty meats, goose, duck, brains, liver, kidneys, canned meat, smoked meats, sausages.
  • Fatty, salted, smoked, canned fish, caviar.
  • Fatty and salty cheeses, sour cream, fatty cottage cheese, heavy cream.
  • Canned foods, salty and spicy dishes, cooking and meat fats, mushrooms, radishes and radishes, mustard, spicy sauces.
  • Chocolate, fatty creams, ice cream.
  • Strong tea and coffee, cocoa.

Products recommended for diet number 10c:

  • Bread: wheat from flour of the 1st and 2nd grade, rye from seed flour, doctor's, peeled, grain. Baking without salt from lean dough, with the addition of soy flour, ground wheat bran.
  • Soups: vegetable, vegetarian, dairy, fruit.
  • Low-fat meats and poultry, baked and boiled fish, dietary sausages, low-fat ham, soaked herring.
  • Low-fat milk and sour-milk products, low-salted cheese, cottage cheese with a fat content of up to 9%.
  • Protein omelets. Soft-boiled eggs are limited to 3 pieces per week. The use of yolks is limited.
  • Vegetable dishes: eggplant, zucchini, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, pumpkins, green pea puree. Fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, greens.
  • Loose cereals, casseroles from various cereals.
  • Limited: rice, pasta, semolina dishes.
  • Fresh fruits and berries, dried fruits. Compotes, jellies, sambuki - without sugar with substitutes or with a limited sugar content.
  • Limited: grapes, raisins, honey, sugar (with concomitant obesity - excluded!).
  • Tea - weak with milk or lemon. Vegetable and fruit, berry juices, rosehip broth.
  • Natural coffee - weak - limited. 
The 10c diet involves eating 5-6 meals a day, in moderate portions. Free fluid is limited to 1-1.2 liters per day.
