Diet number 1 is prescribed during the period of remission of peptic ulcer for 2-3 months, as well as during exacerbation of gastritis with increased secretory function and when the exacerbation of peptic ulcer subsides and during the formation of the ulcer scar.

 

The goal of following diet number 1 is to be gentle on the stomach and duodenum by limiting mechanical and eliminating chemical irritants.

  • strong meat and fish broths;
  • mushroom dishes;
  • fatty foods;
  • fried foods;
  • spicy snacks and sauces;
  • raw vegetables and any vegetable fiber;
  • black bread;
  • fresh white bread;
  • any alcoholic beverages in any quantities.

Food should be cooked by boiling or steaming. Mostly dishes should be mashed. Fractional meals - in small portions 6 times a day. The amount of salt intake is limited.

The energy value of diet No. 1 should be 3000 kcal, with a normal balance of essential substances (proteins, fats, carbohydrates) and a high content of B and C vitamins.

First meal. Soups and puree soups on vegetable broths with mashed boiled vegetables, milk soups from well-boiled cereals with the addition of pasta, seasoned with butter without preliminary frying, egg-milk mixture.

 

Meat and fish dishes, poultry. Boiled beef, young lamb, lean pork, chicken, turkey, lean fish. Cutlets, meatballs, soufflés, steamed zrazy, beef stroganoff from boiled meat.

 

Porridges and dishes from cereals . Semi-viscous or pureed porridges boiled in water or milk with the addition of water. Steamed cereal meatballs, soufflé, boiled small pasta.

 

Vegetable dishes, eggs. Carrots, potatoes, beets, cauliflower - boiled, mashed, steamed in the form of soufflé, meatballs, cutlets. Allowed 2 eggs per day (not daily) - soft-boiled, in the form of a steam omelet.

 

Sweet dishes. Berries and fruits in baked, mashed, boiled form. Kissels, compotes, mousses, jelly, marshmallows, marshmallows, non-sour jam, honey.

 

Dairy products. Whole milk, cream, low-fat and non-acid kefir and yogurt. Fresh non-sour sour cream, cottage cheese after heat treatment - casseroles, lazy dumplings.

 

Drinks . Weak tea, tea with milk, rosehip broth.
