Pharmaceutical order, or pharmaceutical order in medical facilities is provided by the deputy chief physician for drug supply. Responsibility for compliance with the pharmaceutical order in the unit falls on the shoulders of the head. However, the chief nurse ensures that the drug supply process is followed.

As a multi-stage process, the pharmaceutical order includes the following functions:

  • determining the need for medicines together with doctors and the head of the department;
  • prescribing drugs from a pharmacy, taking into account the financial quota allocated for the department;
  • receipt of drugs from the pharmacy according to invoices;
  • registration and strict accounting of drugs and medical supplies that require documented fixation of movement (narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, potent, poisonous drugs, alcohol, dressings, etc.);
  • quality control of drugs;
  • ensuring proper storage of drugs at the right temperature;
  • issuance of drugs and medical supplies to nurses for work: at the post, in the procedural, dressing and other rooms;
  • control of the rational use of medicines and medical products.

For outpatient departments of healthcare facilities, the pharmaceutical order also includes the functions of issuing prescriptions for medicines. The head nurse is engaged in obtaining and issuing prescription forms to doctors according to applications. Both the receipt and issuance of prescription forms are recorded in special journals according to the form of the form:

  • special - for the discharge of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances;
  • for issuing accounting drugs - form 148-1 / y-88:
  • preferential - 148-1 / y-04 (l), 148-1 / y-06 (l);
  • simple - form 107 -1 / y.

Prescription forms are stored in a fireproof cabinet, along with their logs. Spoiled prescriptions are written off on commission and destroyed, about which an act is drawn up and a note is made in the journal.

Control over compliance with the pharmaceutical order in the departments is carried out by the chief nurse. She is also the person in charge when writing off narcotic drugs. All heads of departments, doctors on duty, senior nurses hand over used ampoules, vials and other packages from the National Assembly to the head nurse for destruction.

The head nurse and a commission specially selected at the beginning of the year destroy the packages, followed by validation and a note in the journal. The acts are certified by the handwritten signatures of the members of the commission or their alternates during the absence.
